A New Chapter Starts Now!

After many years of thoughts and prayers about the opportunity of becoming Duplin County’s next Sheriff, I am extremely excited to announce my candidacy for Sheriff in 2026.

Let me introduce myself, I am married to the love of my life, Mandy Partida James, we have been happily married for 19 years. We have four amazing children, Austin Tyler Partida (2002-2005), Dallas James (18) a recent graduate of Wallace-Rose Hill and CFCC, now employed as a certified Line Technician. Our lively twins, Gray and Gracie (15) who both still attend Wallace-Rose Hill. I am a devoted family man, with a servants heart who is ready to serve the wonderful citizens of Duplin County.

As for my credentials, I maintain Certification with the NC Sheriffs' Training and Standards since 2003, served within the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office with 10 years of active service. My specific roles at the office were Deputy, SRO, and Detective. I also oversaw many community watch programs, taught gang awareness classes at civic organizations. Public Service is very important to me, I fulfilled and continue to participate in many programs, such as 10 years of service on the Pinhook Volunteer Fire Department, 15 years of service on the Rose Hill Volunteer Fire Department. 20 years of volunteer service with Cooking for a Cause Ministry, raising necessary funding for those facing major illnesses. Former President of Rose Hill Chamber of Commerce, played a major role in bringing back the NC Poultry Jubilee, current President of Rose Hill Fireman Incorporated and committed member of Poston Baptist Church.

As for day to day, I am a current sales representative with Augusta Seed where I manage a network of dealers in various states. Co-Owner of Billy’s Pork and Beef located in Wallace, as well as Co-Owner of James and Price Farms Incorporated. As a small business owner, I have extensive knowledge about preparing and maintaining budgets and managing employees. By having each and everyone of these amazing opportunities to serve the community in which I reside and ones outside it, I have also been able to build a strong relationship with Local, State, and Federal Politicians.
